About You

We’re looking for compassionate professionals who:

  • Hold active licenses in New York State (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC-LP, LMFT-LP, or other healthcare licensure).

Veterans Disability Medical Examiner (MD/DO/NP/PA)

Job Description: We seek dedicated Doctors (MDs & DOs), Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners to join our team for a fulfilling, per diem 1099 opportunity to serve Veterans. This role involves conducting one-time, non-treatment evaluations that support Veteran benefit applications. You will have the flexibility to set your hours or conduct these assessments in your own clinic if you have the appropriate facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed evaluations for Veterans based on specific VA questionnaires (provided).
  • Document findings using a secure online portal for streamlined, efficient reporting.
  • Work independently to complete examinations that help veterans access their benefits.
  • No invoicing, no billing, patient set-ups, or ongoing patient management—each exam is a one-time interaction.

Additional Requirements for Specific States:

Licensing Requirement: Candidates must have active licenses in the following states:

Qualifications for MD/DO:

  • Active medical license
  • Minimum of 2 years post-training experience
  • All specialties including Pediatrics.
  • Proof of malpractice insurance after the first 89 days of evaluating your first Veteran.
  • $130-$170/hr

Qualifications for NP/PA:

  • Active nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) license
  • Minimum of 2 years post-training experience
  • Active AANP or ANCC Board Certification for NPs
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school with a minimum of an MSN in a clinical specialty for NPs
  • Physician collaborative agreement (if required by state)
  • NPI (National Provider Identifier) verification
  • $70-$100/hr

Some Site/Equipment Requirements for All Providers with Clinic Space:

  • OSHA and ADA compliance
  • Wheelchair accessibility
  • Access to a laptop for secure documentation

Productivity bonuses are available.
